What new services are you offering? You might be surprised how easy it is to offer a new service with your existing equipment.  My video started offering a photo booth on the side, and it is a SUPER fun addition, as well as a fairly easy sell. We also started running a time laps video in the background during a ceremony with our iPhone. The app is called QuickLapse. It gives us something to hand to the bride next day, and they LOVE that.

Maybe you start offering photography classes, or approach a local pet store and set up an offer to do a photography shoot on the first Thursday of every month (or Saturday morning if you don’t shoot weddings). You get the idea.

If you do shoot weddings, its important to post some images (not all, but candids of guests). If you post them to your Facebook business page via the MorePhotos App, guests can tag themselves, so your name spreads in a viral manner.

In an ultra competitive photography market, where the barrier to entry is so low, you need to raise the bar by doing something your competitors can’t, or aren’t willing to do.  Get out there and keep evolving, stay passionate, and it will show.
