Photo Contests for Big Business are effective.\u00a0 Most of those contests are receiving 1000\u2019s of photos, with 100,000\u2019s of\u00a0 votes.\u00a0 That\u2019s a lot of customer\u00a0 interaction for a relatively low investment of a photo contest.<\/p>\n
However, my company, \u201cTraverse City Video\u201d isn\u2019t exactly big business.\u00a0 We shoot about 8-10 weddings per summer and have been averaging 50 visitors per month to our site.\u00a0 Because photo contests through \u201cPhotoScramble<\/a>\u201d are currently free, I purchased a $50 gift certificate to a local party store (for the prize)\u00a0 and created a contest.\u00a0 I was blown away by the 568% increase in traffic over the last month.\u00a0 Granted, I wasn\u2019t getting thousands of hits to start with, but 568% is impressive non the less.<\/p>\n Photo Contest with PhotoScramble= 5 times more traffic to my site!<\/p>\n What can you do?<\/p>\n 1. \n4. Push the contest however you can: facebook, newsletter, invoices, etc.
\n5. Watch the traffic increase to your site.\u00a0 For me, a $50 gift certificate meant 5 times more traffic for that month.<\/p>\n
