As we gear up for Turkey Day (or Turkey-less Day for some), we get ready to take time out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend time with family; we reflect on what we’re thankful for, and more importantly, who we’re thankful for.\u00a0 And even though we might be just as outwardly busy as usual with the preparation of a large meal, hopefully we slow down the thoughts of work and concentrate more on the reasons that we all work so hard.<\/p>\n
A couple things this week made the crew at MorePhotos think about how lucky we all are just to be here, to be healthy, working, and able to enjoy the upcoming time with our families.\u00a0 The first event was very sad, as a photographer (client of ours) passed away this past week.\u00a0 His name was Perrin Todd.\u00a0 Our crew in tech-support said Perrin was always a pleasure to talk to, and it was clear from his website that he took some amazing images and helped many people document precious memories through his passion for Photography.\u00a0 The second was an email note from one of our accountant\/office managers, Barb.\u00a0 She passed on a link to a blog that the mother of her son-in-law\u2019s niece has kept to document the health battle her daughter Kati has experienced since she was just a baby (she’s now 9).\u00a0 It was truly a tear jerk-er, and if you’re a parent, just thinking of your own little one experiencing health problems and surgeries their whole life is hard to even imagine.\u00a0 The families of Perrin and Katie are in our thoughts this year.<\/p>\n
Even though sad events or circumstances shouldn’t be needed to make us take stock in life, to value where we’re at in this journey and who we’re on it with, to keep perspective – they sometimes are.<\/p>\n
Let’s all make a point to practice gratitude this Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n
