We’ve blogged about this before, but this time we’re getting a bit more specific.  For those of you using Facebook as a marketing platform for your photography business, you’ve either given up with frustration thinking there’s no ROI, or you’ve been delighted with extra exposure and clients gained as a result of the viral spreading of your brand.  For the frustrated, contact us for a Facebook consulting session.  For the others, here’s some additional tips you may not have been utilizing yet.

1) “Like” industry specific and related Facebook business pages WITH your business page.  When you’re logged into your FB account as a personal user.  You’ll slowly develop a reputation as an expert in your field, a contributor, a recognized authority.  Here’s how:

2)  Tag people in photos from shoots that you post.  This has amazing potential!  Why?  Because, when you tag someone in a photo, everyone that is their friend will get an update in their “news feed” indicating that John Doe has been tagged in Jane Doe Photography’s Album – and that’s a free link to your page.  Not only that, but consider this:  The friends of that engaged fiance or portrait subject or newly married couple are close to the same age, have similar taste, and might just need your services for their special day or event.  Here’s how:
