When you walk into the best photography studios, you are almost instantly blown away. You are excited about getting your photos taken, and even more excited about seeing the results. Why?
Because the place is covered in AWESOME photographs! There are different sizes of framed prints, canvas prints, metallic wraps, etc. The photographer might not even be able to get your attention because you are so distracted by at the dramatic senior shots, or fun family portraits, or smiling baby faces… you get the idea.
Spend some time and money decorating your studio, it will pay off in huge dividends. Remember, if you don’t have the product to show off, you will not sell it. Period. Invest in some studio decoration already!
This is a really bad example of a studio decoration (unless you are shooting models or somebody you don’t need to impress). Very few clients are impressed with your new lights or backdrop. Show me your work!
This studio is GUARANTEED to have much higher sales volume. They are showing off many different poses of many different frames and probably even different types of paper, etc.
An extremely successful photographer once told me her studio “redecorates” for each client. They put themselves in the client’s mind frame and walk into their own studio. If they are not wowed, they make some tweaks and walk in again. She said, “Because I was not a high pressure saleswoman, I let my work sell itself. It was much easier and just as effective!”
